Dave Matthews Band fans have been anticipating a new studio album for quite some time and dmband.com officially announced Rob Cavallo as the producer for DMB's forthcoming studio effort. This news was announced on the same day as the 2008 Summer Tour Dates.

This news came shortly after Stefan Lessard mentioned in a blog that the Band would be heading back to start pre-production for the new album.

Rumblings of the band hitting the studio again began in 2006 and DMB continued with efforts in the studio during 2007. Dave Matthews Band have plans to road-test a few new tune on this summer tour as mentioned by DMB's management.

Fans attending DMB shows this summer will be the first to hear the latest material from Dave Matthews Band as the band debuts songs from their forthcoming record!

In addition, long-time friend, Tim Reynolds has joined the band in the studio. Tim Reynolds has also contributed his work on their first three studio albums.
