How long have you been a DMB fan?: I have been a fan of DMB since 2008. I was in 8th grade and I found a CD case in my attic that had Crash and Before These Crowded Streets in it. I gave them a listen and I was hooked.

What is your favorite DMB song?: Bartender, American Baby Intro, DDTW, I also really like the tune Kind Intentions.

How many concerts have you attended?: 4. 3 at Riverbend in Cincinnati and 1 at KFC Yum Center in Louisville.

What does the music mean to you?: Being a fan, I consider the music an extension of myself. All of the music I listen to has contributed heavily to who I am. DMB's music is passionate, powerful and has a song for every mood. I can listen to DMB if I'm happy, pissed off, depressed, etc.

Any special moments you would like to share?: Riverbend 2010. The opening band had just wrapped up their set. It was clear, hot and extremely humid. DMB walks onto the stage and starts getting ready. I look to my left and the sky is completely clear, I look to my right and there is a massive black wall approaching the lawn... When the band noticed that it was starting to rain, they opened with JTR. It was sooooooo cool. The lightning was so close that they actually evacuated the Red's game that night but DMB kept playing! I was freaked out by the lightning but it was an unforgettable show, it was also my first show!

How long have you been a DMB fan?: Since UTTAD.

What is your favorite DMB song?: Stay, Captain, Pig, Best of What's Around, Can't Stop, Diggin a Ditch, Granny, Jimi Thing, Recently, Shake Me Like a Monkey, Spaceman, time Bomb, Dancing Nancies, #41.....all others at various times......

How many concerts have you attended?: 16 - just started in 2009

What does the music mean to you?: Difficult to put into words, but from Lie in Our Graves, "sittin' on top of the world with your legs hang in' free!" Total joy, have to sing every word.

Any special moments you would like to share?: Seeing Dave for the first time with my 18 year old son in Boston and watching him, a normally quiet kid, sing Don't Drink the Water with wild abandon. Seeing him so happy got me hooked on being a fan again and taking a deep dive into the music!

AC caravan with my son and his two friends - it was epic seeing Dave and the band 4x in three days.

Driving back from Martha's Vineyard with my son one night with the convertible top down, singing at the top of our lungs to our favorites....very special bonding night I will never forget.

After dragging my 21 year old daughter (a tepid fan at best) to the Life is Good concert in Canton to see the band, her telling me that she LOVES Dave fans - everyone so friendly, down to earth, hearing everyone sing every word to every song. The passion is infectious.

What is your favorite DMB song?: I´ll write down some of them:
#41, Crush, Ants Marching, Crash, Lover Lay Down, Grey Street, Gaucho, Belly Belly Nice, Broken Things...

How long have you been a DMB fan?: 19 Wonderful Years

What is your favorite DMB song?: GREY ST.

How many concerts have you attended?: 49

What does the music mean to you?: My whole love affair started with an early affection for the sweet sax stylings of ROI. After diving into some full albums early on, I started to get the whole "seize the day/carpe diem" side of Dave's writing and started to really connect. Add in some of the modernized religion questionings, and I Was Hooked. :)

Any special moments you would like to share?: Red Rocks 2005 - went to all four shows, had amazing tickets (back when it was ACTUALLY POSSIBLE to get great seats from the WH), SUN night's show (9.11.05) is still my all time favorite, and SAT's show, I took my now wife to her first, although we just hung out as friends that evening. Overall, some amazing memories in beautiful, colorful Colorado that can never be duplicated.

How long have you been a DMB fan?: Summer 2011

What is your favorite DMB song?: Far too many to list LOL~ A couple of my favorites are from AFTW: Sweet, Drunken Soldier. I listened to that recording a lot while my father was dying, and those songs seem like words a father would say to his child.....

How many concerts have you attended?: Four~ hope to go to many many more!!!

What does the music mean to you?: I discovered DMB very late, since I don't watch TV or listen to radio. In the summer of 2011, I was driving a lot, and all I had was a radio. I heard Crash Into Me, and I was immediately hooked! I was going through a really difficult time then, and DMB's music kept me grounded, tied to the earth. No other music by any band ever has meant as much to me as DMB. I'll never forget how DMB's music helped keep me alive....

Any special moments you would like to share?: Working as a Reverb volunteer at Manchester show last winter. I sold 49 charity ornaments~ the supervisor said that was a tour record! And it was an awesome show, too!!!

How long have you been a DMB fan?: Since the early 90s.

What is your favorite DMB song?: Granny, Save Me, Some Devil, Time Bomb, #27, Write a Song...hard to pick just a few.

How many concerts have you attended?: Many - 1-2 a year since our first, which was Woodstock.

What does the music mean to you?: My husband and I have been fans since long before we were married, and we just celebrated our 20th anniversary last week. This year we're taking our two sons to their first DMB live show - we can't wait, and neither can they.

Any special moments you would like to share?: Darien Lake a few years ago - the power went out in a torrential downpour during their Granny opener, and DMB played the song anyway. It was amazing. Best live performance I've ever experienced.

How long have you been a DMB fan?: I have been a DMB fan for more than half of my life. In 1996 I received my first DMB cd for my 15th birthday. After listening to the Crash album more times than my parents ever wanted to hear, I knew I found something special. 17 years later and my passion towards the band and their music has never lessened, it is a forever love affair.

What is your favorite DMB song?: I feel guilty by listing any particular song, there are so many and it seems unfair and unjust to select a favorite. With that said, Little Thing, #40, and Blue Water are songs I have yet to hear in their entirety live and I consider these some of my many favorites.

How many concerts have you attended?: 36 concerts thus far with the best people I know: Andre, Chuck, Emily, Sarah, and Chris. We drank, we danced, and we sang. Nothing can dampen the high from a DMB show.

What does the music mean to you?: Each album marks a period of my life and certain songs are now attached to certain people I know. The band seems like an old familiar friend when I see them perform, we haven't talked in ages but we pick up from where we left off. And the music, the music means more to me than I could ever describe in words.

Any special moments you would like to share?: My friend Andre has eloquently named the intense jam sessions between Dave and any member of the band as "music fucking". Mind blowing jam sessions that start with foreplay, climax, and a period of time at the end of a song where you are coming down from that orgasmic high, i.e., Two Step. They are my favorite moments of the show. Oh, and Dave Speak!

How many concerts have you attended?: Jones Beach a couple weeks ago makes 61!

What does the music mean to you?: no matter what mood i'm in, dmb is always there. it is, without a doubt, my favorite thing in my life.

Any special moments you would like to share?: hearing #40 for the first time live at spac n1 in 2012. he only played it for 1 minute, but it was the best minute! also had to chance to meet Jeff and BT last summer! good times!!!

How long have you been a DMB fan?: 2 years

What is your favorite DMB song?: Shake Me Like A Monkey, The Stone, #41, Where Are You Going, Dont Drink the Water, Two Step (especially the spontaneous intro), and Granny. If covers count, my favorite are Watchtower and Cortez, The Killer

How many concerts have you attended?: I attended my first one this summer at Alpine

What does the music mean to you?: The emotion present in the songs, especially the live versions is just incredible. Also, this music is the only kind i can listen to all day, and still be happy the whole time.

Any special moments you would like to share?: Converting my only-listens-to-bad-pop-music friend to DMB was a really cool moment.

How long have you been a DMB fan?: Since 1995. I couldn't drive so a family friend drove me to a hockey game we were both playing in. On the way home they popped in UTTAD. Satellite came on and it stuck with me. I bought crash later and couldn't stop listening. My wife (GF at the time DRAGGED me to our first show in 2000 at soldier field.

What is your favorite DMB song?: Satellite of course, grey street (w/3rd verse), bartender, the stone, shotgun, and so right. My license plate was So Right, but I recently changed it to "Idea of u".

How many concerts have you attended?: 59.

What does the music mean to you?: Community and love. Appreciating the little things and recognizing them too.

Any special moments you would like to share?: I loved the look in my wife's eye as she told me we were going to Berkeley in 2008. We were both worried it might be over for the band. It was a grueling trip, but such an amazing experience.

Also, collecting posters over the years has graced me with some great friends. I've been very lucky to meet such wonderful people.

What is your favorite DMB song?: My favorite song is always changing. First it was Dancing Nancies, then Seek Up. Next it was Lie In Our Graves and #41. Right now it is...probably The Stone

How many concerts have you attended?: 100 plus (106? 107?)

What does the music mean to you?: The music is always changing and getting better. It never gets old. I love seeing the songs grow and evolve each tour or each show. Being at the shows and seeing the band play is one of the best ways to spend 3 hours.

Any special moments you would like to share?: Just getting the chance to meet all the members of the band individually (Boyd twice). I was happy to find that they are all down to earth and were more than willing to hang out, take pictures and talk with their fans

How long have you been a DMB fan?: Since 2007 but became an addict in 2009 after my first show at Fenway

What is your favorite DMB song?: Pig, #41, Stone, Lie In Our Graves, Warehouse

How many concerts have you attended?: 22

What does the music mean to you?: The lyrics are the best part of the songs. Many of the songs carry a carpe diem theme which i truly love. "While your dancing on the ground why think of life when your gone"

Any special moments you would like to share?: I have caught two drum sticks at the shows. I was given a setlist from the 6/26/11 show at Bader Field also on live release. I then had the setlist signed by Boyd at one of the gatherings. I started the chant for Halloween at that same concert and the chant echoed among 60K fans and the band played it. The best memory i have so far and tweeting with Jeff and allowing him to wear my Bruins jersey N2 of mansfield in 2013. He gave us a setlist from the first night signed by the whole band and gave me and my friends VIP passes to the VIP Lounge where we could eat and drink for free. Then he wore my Zdeno Chara jersey the entire show. Videos on youtube show the proof and there is a picture on DMBAlmanac of the setlist he gave us. Truly an amazing experience.

How long have you been a DMB fan?: Ever since I was in the 4th grade, 1999, and my cousin took me to my first show. It was in Cleveland, OH at the Gund Arena. Life changing would be an understatement.

What is your favorite DMB song?: A difficult question to say the least, I have always loved 'The Dreaming Tree' as well as 'Two Step' but it really depends on the day of the week...scratch that hour of the day

How many concerts have you attended?: I have attended a total of 32 concerts with next week being my 33rd in Cincinnati.

What does the music mean to you?: I means as much as life itself, it speaks to me like nothing else in this world. It can make you happy, sad, and/or take you back to a better time or in most cases a missed love one.

Any special moments you would like to share?: My mom took me up to the local record store the day after my first DMB show and bought me to albums that we both enjoyed, she is no longer with us but I believe if she were she would have had a few shows under her belt with me.

How long have you been a DMB fan?: Do I have to subtract from my age.....Not so good at math anymore that reveals my birth age...ha ha...lets just say 19 years!

What is your favorite DMB song?: That is an impossible question to answer!

How many concerts have you attended?: If you count all the live cd's I have and listen too, and the times I tried to get tickets and could not it would add up to over 500! Ha

What does the music mean to you?: The bands music instantly brings joy to my day....kind of lights up my soul........I asked for a vintage record player recently thinking if the power went out I could wind up the player so I could still listen , but they were to expensive and the friend got me a record player that plugs in....still a nice gift!

Any special moments you would like to share?: My sister just got married and the band played DMB cover to their first dance...pretty sweet I though, am hoping my special moments are still to come seeming I just moved right outside Dave Matthews country in Barboursville.....Going to Blenheim tom....once again tickets sold out at Monticello to hear him speak on the 4th...Im always the one missing the bus when it comes to Dave:) My future goals will be to get to the bus on time!!!!!!

How long have you been a DMB fan?: 17+ years

What is your favorite DMB song?: Lie In Our Graves

How many concerts have you attended?: Around 32 and counting.

What does the music mean to you?: DMB was the band that opened my ears up to so many new types of music: jazz, blues, funk, classical, Latin, Celtic and African rhythms, reggae, you name it. They were the first band I was every truly obsessed with and I've followed them throughout the years, seen them in so many concerts and overall just love the entire experience from recorded to live music that they provide.

Any special moments you would like to share?: I remember the first time I ever heard DMB vividly. I was 10 years old and I looked up to my cousin Dan a lot. He's about 6 years older than me and at the time he was a big underground music fan. Lots of ska, punk, chill music, typical college radio scene in the mid-90s.

I went over his house one day and he said he had to have me hear something. He asked if I had ever heard of Dave Matthews Band. I said I hadn't. He was floored by this. How could I have not even HEARD of this amazing band? He handed me the album "Crash" and told me to listen to it and left me alone.

I put on my headphones, popped the CD in and pressed play. The opening part of "So Much To Say" came on (uh, ooh, egh, ahh, ooo, eee....) and then the guitar kicked in and I remember thinking "WHAT THE HELL IS THIS???!!" The rest is history. I fell in love at that very moment and to this day "Crash" is my favorite DMB album and I will defend it to the death against anyone who says BTCS is better haha.

17 years and 32+ shows later, I'm still as interested in the band as I was on that day in 1996 and every concert experience is like the first time I ever saw them. FAN FOR LIFE.

Twitter: @DMBnewsnet

How long have you been a DMB fan?: I've been a fan since the first time I saw "What Would You Say" on MTV in 1994, but I didn't see DMB live until 1998, and I didn't become a hardcore fan until I went to college later that year and discovered the online community and unreleased live recordings.

What is your favorite DMB song?: Granny is up there. It's the song I most associate with becoming a big DMB fan. The first time I heard it on a tape (literally, a cassette), I couldn't believe a song that good wasn't on an album. Finding more songs just like that became my favorite part of tape trading.

How many concerts have you attended?: Sixty-two and counting!

What does the music mean to you?: It's a positive force presented in a unique but timeless way that appeals to people of all ages and has lasted despite tremendous changes in the industry. It's a constant when very few things are.

Any special moments you would like to share?: December 21, 2002. Madison Square Garden. DMB is jamming out "Too Much" with Karl Denson's Tiny Universe. I'm standing at my seat. My friend is in the concourse getting a drink. Dave steps to the microphone and says "Ladies and gentlemen, the Godfather of Soul, James Brown!" My friend re-enters the arena and looks up at me with this look of shock on his face as he rushes back to the seat. Strangers start high-fiving each other. Confetti falls from the ceiling. Nothing will ever beat that and I'm so glad I was there.

How long have you been a DMB fan?: Since 1998

What is your favorite DMB song?: Diggin Ditch, One Sweet World, Dreaming Tree, The Stone, Crazy Easy, Idea of You, Tripping Billies, So Right, Spaceman, Snow Outside... Depending on my mood the favorites can change.

How many concerts have you attended?: 42 since 2000

What does the music mean to you?: The music of this band has defined how I have chosen to live my life. From the lyrics "celebrate we will cause life is short but sweet for certain" leading me to make the most of every opportunity i have been given, to "why would you care to get out of this place you and me and all our friends such a happy human race" making me put extra emphasis on the relationships I have with close friends and new friends, and "I prolly get it wrong much as I get it right but I right woman when I caught your eye what I remember most about that night is I love the way you move baby" makes me thankful everytime I think about how I met the love of my life. This band is not just a hobby to me they are a lifestyle.

Any special moments you would like to share?: I have so many great memories from DMB shows many of which are to long to talk about here but each time I have seen them in Charlottesville VA (2006, 2009 & 2010) I have just awesome memories that I made with some very dear friends. Also the Caravans, especially the Atlantic City one was just absolutely EPIC for me and I met some great people whom I still talk to regularly and have even met up with again and again to attend DMB shows at other venues. The Caravans brought me many dear, dear friends.... much love to Chase, Kevin, Doug, Frank, Ray, Jess, Eric, & Shelley whom I consider very close DMB Family members!

How long have you been a DMB fan?: I started casually when BTCS came out, but it wasn't until I saw them live in the late 2000's that it REALLY took off for me.

What is your favorite DMB song?: Pig, Shotgun, Kill the King, Sugar Will, #41, Halloween, Big Eyed Fish/Bartender, Cry Freedom - I could keep going

How many concerts have you attended?: 20, and climbing

What does the music mean to you?: Absolutely everything. There is no where else I'd rather be, than watching Dave and crew performing and doing what they're so good at, and what they love.

I'll expand on it a bit in "special moments", but I love this band, and everything they do for their fans whether directly or not. It's a huge part of my life, and I'll never forget it.

Any special moments you would like to share?: The friends I have made, and the bond that we share over the love of music (not just DMB, but even other bands) is incredible to me. The road trips, camping, tailgating and many nights of sharing beers, burgers and vodka-infused watermelon have been the highlights of my life. Going through a divorce, my DMB friends/family were there - 2 days after it was finalized, we went to Charlottesville and they bought me my drinks and kept me out of a funk.

Also, I took my dad to his first show at PNC park in 2010 as a father's day gift. We're both drummers, and he's a huge Carter fan (who isn't?) - so I got us Warehouse tickets, and I think he almost cried because he heard his favorite songs (Ants and Two Step) with his son. To top it all off, we were seated directly behind someone who started a conversation with us, and turned out to be my mom's childhood best friend! They hadn't spoken to each other in years, but DMB brought them back together, indirectly!

I hope to have a conversation with Mr. DJM some day, just so I can shake his hand and tell him how much he means to me.

What does the music mean to you?: Speechless... There are no words. I would need music to explain. Transendental. " Lift me up, love, every day..."

Any special moments you would like to share?: Jazzfest. NOLA 2006. Rain was moving in during encore & just as Dave sang "Let the rain pour down on me." it began to rain for a minute and then there was a huge rainbow behind the stage. Again, speechless. How long have you been a DMB fan?: July 2001 after the Chicago Soldier Fields show

What is your favorite DMB song?: I'll back you up, means a lot and speaks to the type of friend I am.

Mercy is a hopeful song that is wishful for the world

Say goodbye, is my devilish side !!!

How many concerts have you attended?: I really don't know exactly, but I think I am closing in on 10? Which in this community is child's play. This summer I am going to 5! So the fever for the band just intensifies!

What does the music mean to you?: Community. Friends. Family. When I hear a song play by this band, it is like a friend is singing, not some far off group I don't know.

Any special moments you would like to share?: I have "met" people through this affiliation that I helped on matters unrelated to music. But it was the music that brought on the initial connection. And that is the point. We are all different. We come together because of a shared love. We need to appreciate our differences but focus on the similar love

Any special moments you would like to share?: Every show has its own special moment; each has to do with the people I'm with. There's such an incredible bond between DMB friends that, to me, the music is almost secondary to seeing the joy and excitement, and feeling the positive energy that 20k-40k fans put out.

What is your favorite DMB song?: Pig, #41, The Space Between, Granny, Where are you going?, Crush, So Right, Everyday, if only, Mercy..just to name a few!

How many concerts have you attended?: I have attended 9 concerts

What does the music mean to you?: I have always listened to music, it has always been a part of my life, but until i finally listened to my younger brother I never heard music like DMB. Their songs make you think about life and how important love is and living life...the reason i love Pig is the lyrics..Don't burn the day...or the space between, just amazing lyrics.

Any special moments you would like to share?: First show my daughter, son and i went to was Citifield, it was magical. I never understood what my brother was trying to explain to me about seeing them and experiencing them, now i try to explain it to other people because there's just nothing like it. We were lucky enough to be in the pit at MSG for our 2nd show, and to be around the people and everyone just feeling the music, its just so great, they are an amazing band and amazing people, love them.

How long have you been a DMB fan?: I've been a Dave fan for my entire life. 15 years. My mom says the first Dave song I knew was Ants Marching. But I don't remember anything until my parents divorce.

What is your favorite DMB song?: The Stone. Warehouse. Typical Situation. Dreams of Our Fathers. Dancing Nancies. Fool To Think. When the World Ends. So Much To Say. Idea of You. Snow Outside. If Only. Gaucho. And I love his John Lennon cover of Watching the Wheels. Baby Blue. And Funny the Way It Is.

How many concerts have you attended?: 0 ... :( ..... Phoenix, Arizona... Not old enough to drive yet :(

What does the music mean to you?: His music offers an escape from reality. And then it smacks reality right back at you in the face. From The Stone's, soft rock towards the end, to When the World End's surprising ending, it makes me think about who I am. Like in the song So Much To Say, I wish I could be somebody else. But then I am happy with who I am. This is who I am. And sooner or later, someone will love me for who I am. I have fantasies too. But then am brought back to reality. Better to think things through before acting upon. His music taught me how to love. Love is okay. It hurts at times, but is acceptable. Don't be afraid to love someone. There is pain. There is fortune. And his music is the reason I am who I am today. Not a parking lot attendant or a million air in Bell Air. But Taylor.

Any special moments you would like to share?: My dad left my mom when I was 7. My mom bought 2 CD's. A Kidz Pop for me. And Crash for her. Well I didn't want Kidz Pop. I thought the album art for Crash was a lot more special. I was 7 and still learning how to read. And I had a little CD player. I opened the CD player and put Crash in. The first song I listened to was Say Goodbye. Because my dad just left and I understood the words 'Say Goodbye'. I then later understood the whole song. It doesn't mean just saying goodbye. But saying goodbye to a loved one after a beautiful night. I didn't understand until I got 'the talk'. I recently broke up with my girlfriend. I cried a lot. She was ashamed to be seen in public with me. God knows why.?. And I turned on his solo album 'Some Devil' and listened to 'Stay or Leave' and had a emotional breakdown in the car. Cried like a baby for 10 min before school started.

How long have you been a DMB fan?: Since 1993

What is your favorite DMB song?: The song that jane likes, #41, Long Black Veil, Grace is Gone - really too many to name

How many concerts have you attended?: 15

What does the music mean to you?: DMB is the only band that ALWAYS puts me in a good mood. The eclectic mix of instruments that oddly seems to go together just hits the right spot every time.

Any special moments you would like to share?: I helped a handicapped friend at a show back in '94 and the handicapped section was the first row. We were the only ones on the row! It was me, my friend with no arms (but he has hands), and the band all jammin together all night. My friend also knew someone with a backstage pass and I got to go back and meet Dave and get his autograph and chat for a minute. I'll never forget it.
