We're having a blast out here. The Indy crowd left us feeling exhilarated after their warm reception over the past couple nights. The band are enjoying playing the new tunes. Tonight they debuted Eh Hee, a song Dave wrote a couple years ago after a trip to Africa. Look for it to be released soon. See you at Blossom on Monday.

Dave Matthew also hinted in a recent interview with Rolling Stone where Dave mentioned that he created a drum loop for the song.
Drums?
Yeah, but with the technology today, I think I used a pencil on my knee. Although I did record a song where I made a drum loop, actually playing the drums. It’s called “Eh Hee: - I don’t know what the hell that means. It sounds like it could have come out of the swamps of Louisiana, with a chant that’s not quite African, Native American or European but a mix of those things. We rented a warehouse, got a camera, found a modern dance troupe and made a video. I’m gonna leak it on MySpace.

This is a unique release for Dave Matthews because despite performing this song with the band on the Summer tour this iTunes released was recorded and perform solo. Also this song and video is being released with out the support of an album. Dave Matthew Band have been in and out of the studio during 2006 and 2007 working on a new album, but there has been no official word on when a new DMB studio release can be expected.
DMB have been road testing many news songs this year which may or may not end up on a new album full band or solo... only time will tell.
