Farm Aid visits St. Louis, MO - October 4th, 2009

UPDATE: 09/30/09: Farm Aid will be broadcast live on DIRECTV. A 6-hour live show will air on DIRECTV’s 101 Network from 4:00 - 10:00 pm Central Time. SIRIUS XM Radio will be broadcasting the live Farm Aid concert on Sunday beginning at 2:00 pm Central Time on Willie’s Place, SIRIUS Channel 64, XM Channel 13.

The Verizon Wireless Amphitheater in St. Louis, MO will be the setting for Farm Aid on October 4th, 2009. Farm Aid started as a benefit concert on September 22, 1985, in Champaign, Illinois, held to raise money for family farmers in the United States.

Farm Aid board members Willie Nelson, Neil Young, John Mellencamp, and Dave Matthews will be performing as always and a complete artist line-up will be known in coming weeks.

Tickets go on sale through Live Nation on Saturday, July 25 at 11am EST. If you are a Farm Aid member you can score tickets on Friday July 17 at 10am EST. Visit farmaid.org for full ticket details.

This is the first time that the Farm Aid benefit has visited St. Louis. Dave Matthews Band have been visiting the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater since 1996 and most recently on June 17, 2009.
