How long have you been a DMB fan?: I have been a DMB fan for more than half of my life. In 1996 I received my first DMB cd for my 15th birthday. After listening to the Crash album more times than my parents ever wanted to hear, I knew I found something special. 17 years later and my passion towards the band and their music has never lessened, it is a forever love affair.
What is your favorite DMB song?: I feel guilty by listing any particular song, there are so many and it seems unfair and unjust to select a favorite. With that said, Little Thing, #40, and Blue Water are songs I have yet to hear in their entirety live and I consider these some of my many favorites.
How many concerts have you attended?: 36 concerts thus far with the best people I know: Andre, Chuck, Emily, Sarah, and Chris. We drank, we danced, and we sang. Nothing can dampen the high from a DMB show.
What does the music mean to you?: Each album marks a period of my life and certain songs are now attached to certain people I know. The band seems like an old familiar friend when I see them perform, we haven't talked in ages but we pick up from where we left off. And the music, the music means more to me than I could ever describe in words.
Any special moments you would like to share?: My friend Andre has eloquently named the intense jam sessions between Dave and any member of the band as "music fucking". Mind blowing jam sessions that start with foreplay, climax, and a period of time at the end of a song where you are coming down from that orgasmic high, i.e., Two Step. They are my favorite moments of the show. Oh, and Dave Speak!
