Dave Matthews Band Headliner for Rothbury Festival

Dave Matthews Band will be one of  the headliners for the Rothbury Festival, which will take place in Rothbury, Michigan during the 4th of July Weekend. DMB will be performing on July 5th, 2008.

Tickets for ROTHBURY will go on sale Wednesday, February 27 at noon EST exclusively at

The festival’s goal is to draw attention to climate change and clean energy alternatives. To wit, the weekend will feature a think tank featuring panel discussions on those climate concerns, an energy fair where attendees can get their hands on related technology and products, and the festivals’ campgrounds will strive for a zero-waste experience via composting, carbon-offsetting and more strategies.

DMB have always supported environmental issues. Dave Matthews himself has promoted and practiced environmentally friendly acts through the years. DMB has supported and contributed both time and money to support the goals in achieving alternate energy and many of the ongoing climate concerns. Just last year, DMB participated in Live Earth and the Piedmont Park Benefit Concerts.

Dave Matthews discusses the environment in a brief interview, in Rolling Stone magazine last summer.
