DMB to Perform at Belgium’s Rock Werchter 2009 on July 2nd

Dave Matthews Band add another European date to their summer with another festival in Belgium. DMB will be performing at the Rock Wercher 2009 on July 2nd, 2009, the first day of a 4-day festival that spans from July 2nd-5th.

The Rock Werchter festival began in 1974 and has won the Arthur award for best festival in the world at International Live Music Conference (ILMC) in 2003, 2005, 2006 and 2007.

Other artists confirmed to join DMB during the festival include: Coldplay, Metallica, The Killers and Kings of Leon, to name a few...

With the recent announcements of festivals in Europe, it seems likely that a tour would follow for Europe and likely the USA (especially with an album on the way), but  there is no "official" word at this time.

For Werchter tickets check out the presale that will begin Saturday, February 14, 2009 at 9:00 a.m. local venue time. Day tickets are 75 euros and a 4-day Combi tickets are 169 euros.

All tickets are inclusive of public transport (trains NMBS and festival shuttle De Lijn from Leuven) within the Belgian borders from Thursday July 2, until Monday July 6.
