Dave Matthews Band takes a break in 2011

At the brink of the 2010 Summer Tour, beginning on May 28th, Dave Matthews Band officially announced this afternoon that they will be taking a long overdue break from touring in 2011.

As we feel the excitement building for this summer, we wanted to let everyone know that after twenty years of consecutive touring, Dave Matthews Band will be taking 2011 off. We feel lucky that our tours are a part of so many people's lives, and wanted to give everyone as much notice as possible.  We're excited to make this summer one of our best tours yet, and look forward to returning to the road in 2012.

It is rare for any band to announce that they are not touring, but given that the boys have been on the road for the past 20 years it is almost written in fans DNA to make plans well in advance for future show.

We look forward to an outstanding 2010 with Dave Matthews Band!
