Hurricane Sandy Relief
In 12 days Dave Matthews Band will kick off their 2012 Winter tour in East Rutherford, New Jersey at the IZOD Center. New Jersey's coastline as well as New York City and other surrounding areas was completely devastated by the recent "Superstorm" Hurricane Sandy that pasted throughout the North East in October.
It is just too difficult to explain in words how bad it really is and how much help these citizen need, not only to survive, but to restore what this storm has taken away from them.
By the grace and compassion of DMB, their first show on November 30th, they are pledging $1 million to Hurricane Sandy relief efforts. If you are going to the show, proceeds from your ticket sales and any merchandise you purchase will go towards the Bama Works Sandy Relief Fund.
Bama Works have collaborated with the Community Foundation of New Jersey to support immediate and long-term recovery efforts.
Don't forget you can alway make a donation at the American Red Cross.
We anticipated a fun winter tour, but this first show should be one to remember. You can believe what you will, but it is no mistake that DMB was meant to play IZOD this fall, and for the people of NJ, NY and the surrounding states, don't lose hope.
It is amazing what a little compassion, and a minute can do...
