Live Trax 18 announced as 06.04.96 in Virginia Beach

June 4th, 1996 has been announced as Live Trax: Volume 18. The show from Virginia Beach is the 5th official released from this year and features a very rare full-band performance of "Deed is Done".

This show was thier first back in the United States after a leg of shows in Europe in support of "Crash".

Dave Matthews featured on Danny Barnes new album: Pizza Box

This past weekend banjo player Danny Barnes shared the stage with Dave Matthews Band. Danny has graced the stage with DMB in the past and was also in studio with the band while they were recording "Big Whiskey and the GrooGrux King" and is prominently featured on songs "Spaceman" and "Alligator Pie".

While jamming out a 3-night stand at the Gorge, Danny played on songs like "Bartender" and "The Dreaming Tree" as well as two of his own songs, "Road" and "Caveman" which are planned to be on his new album "Pizza Box" which is scheduled for a October 13th, 2009 release.

Live Trax Vol. 16 Announced Live At Riverbend 6.26.2000

Volume 16 of Dave Matthews Band Live Trax series is a classic show from the 2000 Summer tour at Riverbend Music Center in Cincinnati, OH. According to Warehouse Ants Marching had a hand in selecting the upcoming Live Trax release.

This is the third Live Trax from 2000 and a nice change from the more recent pattern of current shows, the last few releases (all from 2008).

Live Trax 16 is now available for pre-order until September 3rd and will be released on September 8th, 2009.

"Shake Me Like A Monkey" Now available via Itunes Pass

"Shake Me Like a Monkey" became available early this morning via the Itunes Pass which has been releasing new content every week. A video preview of "Shake Me Like a Monkey" was first revealed in the beginning of April where a group of 15 DMB fans lingered outside the New Orleans studio hoping for a chance to meet DMB.

Big Whiskey and the GrooGrux King has been highly anticipated by fans and now with only 2 more weeks until the album release the Itunes pass continues to tease with bits and pieces of Big Whiskey.

Rumors have been circulating that songs like Shotgun and Cornbread were recorded and would end up on some form of a bonus disc/EP...that does not seem to be the case at this time. Stay tuned...more news to follow.
